Homeowner Link is a new program approved by the Board of Directors
to help residents and owners stay informed by delivering timely,
customized messages to each resident enrolled in the program. Recorded
voice or text-to-speech messages are utilized to send notifications to
recipients and answering devices instantaneously. In addition, the
system can be used to broadcast text messages to cell phones, as well
as launch e-mail broadcasts. The creation and delivery method of
messages are completely determined by the Association, which allows for
complete customization.
At the September 16, 2009 Board Meeting the Board decided that the
system would be utilized at Parkfairfax for these types of
notifications:
· Reminders of the Annual Meeting
· Utility Interruptions
· Community/Neighborhood Events
· Building/Street Work
· Alerts for Missing Neighborhood Persons
Program registration has now started, allowing homeowners the
opportunity to choose whether or not to participate in the program
individually and their preferred method of receiving notifications from
the Association. At the homeowners convenience, each homeowner will be
able to log on to the Association’s web site and register their
preferred e-mail address, landline and/or cell phone numbers where they
want to receive messages.
Homeowners will be able to opt out of the service as subsequent
times following initial registration. The information in the program
will be used solely for Association purposes and is not sold or made
available to any other party.
