Landscape Committee

Committee Chair: Alex Lathers – alexlathers@aol.com

The primary responsibility of the Landscape Committee is to advise and assist the Board of Directors in developing and administering an ongoing program to preserve and enhance the Parkfairfax Condominium in regard to maintenance or improvement of the grounds.

In fulfilling its responsibility the committee will perform functions which include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Working with the General Manager to develop a Landscape Program to meet the requirements and desires of the community, including guidelines and procedures to be followed by residents.
  • Prepare landscape budget recommendations.
  • Make recommendations to the Board with respect to planting projects, walkway additions, additional lighting, other improvements to the existing landscaping plan, etc.
  • Inspect the grounds with the Landscape Director and make recommendations for periodic updates to the landscape goals.
  • Propose and review contracts let by the Board for landscaping.
  • Review and comment on actions recommended to or by the Board of Directors which may affect maintenance obligations or have an adverse impact upon the environment.
  • Encourage and/or establish programs for volunteer activities which would provide enjoyment and education to residents and improve the quality of the environment.

 

The committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Association Office.
